PRESS RELEASE: New Hampshire Clean Energy Economy Creating Job Growth Pew Charitable Trusts, June 10, 2009

New Hampshire has a small but growing piece of America's clean energy economy. The
Granite State is one of just a few states where total jobs grew faster than
jobs in the clean energy economy between 1998 and 2007. New
Hampshire's share of the clean energy economy may increase, however,
following the release of a climate action plan by the state's Climate Change
Policy Task Force in March 2009; the plan aims to reduce greenhouse gas
emissions to 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050. Additionally, the state
attracted nearly $67 million in clean technology investment through
venture capital funding in the past three years.
