Worldwide Action on Global Warming

2009 is an extremely important year for action on climate change both domestically and internationally. Recently, Chairman Henry Waxman announced that the Energy and Commerce Committee would produce a climate bill before Memorial Day. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will host a series a meetings throughout 2009 to further climate negotiations and in December, the world will come together in Copenhagen, Denmark to craft a deal to reduce global emissions. Understanding the global landscape in 2009 will be critical for policymakers at home and abroad.
