2009 is an extremely important year for action on climate change both domestically and internationally. Recently, Chairman Henry Waxman announced that the Energy and Commerce Committee would produce a climate bill before Memorial Day. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will host a series a meetings throughout 2009 to further climate negotiations and in December, the world will come together in Copenhagen, Denmark to craft a deal to reduce global emissions.
